The Connecticut Women Artists organization was founded 87 years ago in 1929 when thirteen women artists exhibited at the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford. Since exhibition opportunities were rare for women at that time these women started a society of female artists. To feature the work of talented women artists in Connecticut and across the country, the exhibition will be juried by Min Jung Kim, Director of the New Britain Museum of American Art, New Britain, CT.
