Slater Museum is excited to be a part of Visit Connecticut's 20th annual CT Open House Day! All are welcome to visit the museum for free and to participate in a variety of family-friendly activities from eye spies, to sketching, to guided tours! At 11am, docent Carolyn Doutre will lead Emotions in Art. On this tour, participants will study some of Slater's most emotive artworks while analyzing the techniques artists use to evoke a desired feeling. Then at 2pm, join educator Diana Kate Karsanow for The Art of the Copy where participants will be invited to look closely at Slater's notorious copies to learn how replicas can also be masterpieces.
