The Slater Memorial Museum presents several permanent or long-term exhibitions in spaces on two levels, accessible via elevator or stairs. These include the museum's inaugural exhibition of plaster cast copies of the great ancient Greek, Roman, Middle Eastern and Renaissance sculpture. The Slater Memorial Museum also regularly presents and hosts up to six temporary exhibitions annually in its large, airy Converse Art Gallery. Annual must-sees include the Connecticut Artists Juried Exhibition, the Saturday Morning Children's Art Class exhibition and the Norwich Free Academy student exhibition. Occasionally, the museum presents temporary exhibitions on the mezzanine level of the Atrium. Over the years, the museum has hosted exhibitions of work by members of partner organizations including Connecticut Women Artists, Connecticut Pastel Society and Local Color, of the Studio Art Quilt Association.
