Slater Memorial Museum is proud to host SAQA-Connecticut’s signature recurring juried exhibition ‘Local Color 4: Rails, Roads & Rivers.

Artists were encouraged to explore the varieties of meanings, images, and experiences evoked by the theme and to interpret the theme in their own unique way. ‘Local Color 4: Rails, Roads & Rivers’ celebrates the range of metaphors evoked by human-built and nature-carved modes of movement and transportation and the people who build and/or use them.
