Pride Celebration

Slater Museum Pride Celebration

June 22, 10 am - 4 pm

In honor of Pride Month, Slater Museum is hosting our first ever Pride Celebration! During this event, visitors are invited to explore the museum for free, make crafts inspired by LGBTQ+ artists, and join a festive tour at 11am or 2pm called Gender & Sexuality in Ancient Greece! Docent Nina Barclay, Slater's resident antiquary, will lead participants through the cast gallery sharing myths and histories of some of Ancient Greece's most memorable nonbinary individuals.

Rose Arts Festival
Rose Arts Festival

June 29, 10 am - 4 pm

Slater Museum is a proud partner of Norwich's beloved Rose Arts Festival! As part of the festival, Slater is offering free museum admission and two special Docent Tours on Norwich history! At 11 am, join docent Kerry O'Keefe for City of Wealth and Art to learn how Norwich’s immense wealth in the 19th century attracted notable residents and aspiring artists from all walks of life. Then at 2pm, join docent Bob Gauthier for Gilded Age Norwich to be taken back in time to the grandeur of the Gilded Age and learn how the affluent and working classes lived in Norwich.
