Volunteer

Slater Museum could not do what it does without the service provided by our volunteer docents. From leading tours, to giving specialized programs to students and adults alike, volunteering at Slater Museum is an opportunity for lifelong learning and helping fulfill our mission to NFA and our community. Our volunteer docents are comprised of former educators and professionals of a variety of backgrounds who all share a common passion for art, history, and for creating unforgettable experiences for our visitors.

All museum docents are educated through Slater Museum’s docent training program to prepare them for gallery interpretation and interacting with visitors. Please contact 860-425-5563 or museum@nfaschool.org for more information or fill out our volunteer form below if you’re interested in joining our team!
